470w Panels

Featured Replies

Hi @Swannie it depends on the model inverter that you have.

If it's a 450vdc model all in series will put you in the operating voltage.

If it's a 145vdc model then 3 parallel strings of 2 panels will keep you in the operating voltage.

You can see the model of the side sticker.

Look at your inverter manual and see what the range for the mppt input is.
Suggest provide that to us and the panel details so we can suggest.

In general - each panel will have a VOC voltage, and an amp rating.

If the MPPT input says 500v max at 10A, then you need to make sure the panels add up to less than that.

Series - voltage + voltage + voltage

Parallel - Amp + amp

You can mix and match series and parallel, eg 3 panels in series x 2 strings in parallel.
