There isn't much on the net from Growatt and about Growatt but here some people seem to have a lot of experience with these inverters. I live in Germany and this manufacturer has probably not been around here for as long as elsewhere in the world. About my problem: I only set up the system (6x Hyundai 400W panels, Growatt SPF5000 TL+ 4xPylontech US 2000B) last November. Now that the sun is also rising higher in Germany, the system is finally producing usable output (about 7kW/day at the moment). I wasn't sure about the battery settings and chose "Li" instead of "Use". After what I have read here, it is better to select "Use" and be able to adjust the voltages. I did that now, but now the inverter shows me 100% battery charge all the time, although the battery is not full. Yesterday I loaded 6kW into the car with a full battery and the capacity was still displayed as 100%. This morning the display fell to 25%, which probably corresponded to reality, and then jumped back up to 100% after 2 hours. During the night, the battery was permanently charged with about 20 watts from the mains (?) Something seems to be wrong with the communication between the battery's BMS and the inverter. Everything was fine until yesterday, no changes were made to the wiring, only the settings. The current settings are as follows: 01 SBU 02 25A 04 SDS 05USE 11 30A 12 47.7V 13 50V 14 OSO 19 53.2V 20 53.2V 21 47.5V At the moment I don't know what to do next, I haven't found anything about a reset either. The system works, the inverter and the batteries do not show any faults... I would be very happy to get help here. An email to Growatt Germany was not answered. The service is really very bad... February 23, 20224 yr As long as you are not using Li on program 05, your BMS comms will not work, hence the wrong SoC display on your inverter. If you want to use BMS communication, you must select LI in program 05 and Protocol 04 in program 36 for Pylontech Batteries.
February 23, 20224 yr Author 338 / 5.000 Thanks hoohloc for the quick reply. Before I switched yesterday, I had "Li" and protocol 02. That apparently worked (?), but the capacity display went down by 10% overnight alone from the 19W power consumption of the inverter... I switch once and observe and report again.
February 23, 20224 yr BTW, I do not use BMS comms because it used to limit my charge current to 25A for 4 x US2000B Plus. Your settings are ok except for program 02. You have four batteries and each battery can charge at 25A constantly. You can Set program02 to 100A
February 23, 20224 yr Author Yes I had the same problem. The setting in 02 kept going back to 25A. Now I've set protocol Li04 and it works 🙂 And what's even better: The charging current setting in 02 is now 100A (4x25A, the batteries are connected in parallel) and the inverter no longer regulates at around 1280W (currently charging he approx. 1437W with 28A). Why don't you charge with 100A max? It's strange how the settings can sometimes be changed, sometimes not...let's see if they stay that way permanently. What do these settings actually mean?: 44 58.4V 45 60 46 120 47 30 48 toF I can't find anything about it in the manual...

I also have mine on us2, reason been in my case I don't want my battery to be charged at more that 20 Amps. I only have one LBSA 5.1 KW 100 A/h it takes a while to charge the battery but so far I've been able to get to full SOC.

If it’s Pylon brand lithium icon battery US2000/US3000 please set L02 in program 05 setting. if error message still exist please arrange to upgrade inverter firmware software and BMS software https://drive.google.com/open?id=12ttv9oCoC2rowUPDdsjfs0P4fz9DuSVt https://drive.google.com/open?id=1MFgsuwvJ2BRs-uHHlTshcjIiOsQIPYBt there is a software a video that guide you to upgrade software a SOP file that guide you to upgrade step by step and a video that guide you to reset inverters factory setting including. I've had Li02 all along and everything seemed to work, as it does now with Li04. the only apparent difference was that the charging current under 02 was fixed at 25A and could not be changed. Now it's at 100A. Will watch and report...

I'm adding a UP5000 next month and I should now see 150A out of the two inverters

It must be an old guide, Li02 and protocol 04 works perfect for Pylontech, I have played around with all those protocols and can confirm that protocol 04 is the correct one for Pylontec.
