March 28, 20224 yr Good day Ok so I recently decided to go solar Installed Kodak 7.2 Max inverter 16 x 410w Canadian solar panels pointing North at about 30 degrees for tile roof angle 8 per string on each inverter input Currently only have 4.8kWh battery installed But will be going 15kWh One issue I am getting is the panels seem to be maxing out at about 3.2kW maximum They appear to be giving out about 50% of the listed power Can someone advise what could cause this? I specifically make sure that the used power to charge the battery and used beyond that is higher by fair margin above what is coming in I know that if my required usage was only 3.2kW then the inverter would not push above that Edited March 28, 20224 yr by Veneficus
March 29, 20224 yr How sure are you that each string is in operation? What is the voltage on each string?
March 29, 20224 yr Author Voltage on each string goes up to average 270-280V When about 1.6kW per string is provided the unit sits at about 220v The 2 strings is connected to PV1 and PV2 inputs Edited March 29, 20224 yr by Veneficus
