  1. Hi, are these 4037-02 or a 4037-11 batteries? Please send me pics of the BMS cards.
  2. MJS replied to Smokey's topic in Kodak
Hi Smokey, Have you come right? I had to upgrade the old battery firmware when adding a new one.
  3. I had the second breakdown of this kind within two weeks: The inverter is in bypass mode and does not switch in battery mode when there is a mains failure (i.e. load shedding) The battery voltage went below 47V that was set in program 12 to change from battery mode into utility mode. This happened at 6:50 today. Program 13 was set to 48 volt that is to change the inverter back to battery mode. What happened was that the inverter went into bypass mode at 6:50 but did not return to battery mode. At 7:56 mains power went off but the inverter did not go into battery mode. Therefore power was lost at the output. Data were recorded with Solpiplog on Raspberry PI. Can anyone help please? 20240229 PIP-5048 fault 2.pdf 20240229 PIP-5048 fault 3.pdf

  6. Pure sine wave inverter for sale. Excellent working condition. Only used for LTE router backup. R1500
  7. I have a Kodak BL3.6 with a OG5.48 KODAK Solar Off-Grid Inverter VMIII 5kW 48V and solar panels (2750W). I want to monitor and control the inverter. Currently no ESS functionality and use of solar is not good. Can your solar asstant PI do this?
  8. 6 X JAP72S01-320/SC 2 X JAP72S01 -330/SC
  9. Yes I have them. I must double check what they are exactly. Will let you know.
  10. Well, there is this saying: never change a working system. So if nothing really bothers you I would not change anything. A few things were bothering me i.e. the 2A current the machine was drawing from the grid and one couldn't turn it off. So I went and upgraded (in steps) U1 to 71.95 and U2 to 02.60 what I found being the best combination for me and my machine (exactly the same as you have). I use solpiplog on a raspberry pi to monitor and control the inverter. That works fine for me and a lot of issues are solved but what hasn't been solved is that the inverter is not SOC controlled but voltage controlled. Apparently this can be overcome with solpiplog but I haven't been able to verify it. Last not least the BMS works fine with the inverter. Especially the charge current setting and the do not charge command. On the other hand the charge voltages are 53.2V for bulk and float. There are opinions that this is too high although Pylontech confirms this being right. So if you think these voltages should be lower you must not use the PYL option because it forces the voltages to 53.2V.
  11. I want to increase Wp installed I currently have 6 x 325W and 2x330W JA solar panels and want to add 6 x 325/330 panels Or sell my 8 panels. George Western Cape
  12. How are prog 01, 02 , 05, 11, 16, 26, 27, 41 set? What battery / BMS are u using?
  13. MJS replied to Zaidyy's topic in Inverters
My distributor provides 90.xx for the OG-7.2 firmware. Currently 90.28. The units were on 4x.xx version when shipped.
  14. So you must use 6 x Giter 2500-48 or limit the maximum battery current in function 41 to the equivalent of battery power available. i.e. 2 x Giter 2500-48 means 50A so set function 41 to 50A. That will limit the inverter power to just below 2000W.
  15. Coulomb, thanks for pointing this out. In case anyone needs Max updates I am happy to share.
  16. Firmware 90.28. I don't have display software version handy. I find out when I get to that site again.
  17. The Kodak OG-7.2 (Axpert Max) has a timer function for output source priority and charger source. I am using it for output source priority and it works fine. Only issue is the unit's time is drifting.
  18. MJS replied to Thembeni's topic in Inverters
I have the same problem Thembeni; how did you solve the issue?
  19. I meant that I will report should the issue come up again with this firmware. I am very happy with 71.94 and 02.66. Frist time I have proper switching between utility and battery without having the 2A constant charging. It would just be even better to have switching based on an adjustable SOC value. Apperently SOLPIPLOG does SOC based switching but currently not for PYLONTECH. I haven't been able to verify that the PV drop is gone with this release.
  20. I rarely see 101% too. I am using a Pip-5048MK and was on firmware 71.80 with display 02.00. I upgraded now to 71.94 and display 02.66. Will revert if this issue come up again.
  21. You can check this out http://forums.aeva.asn.au/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=5955&hilit=Pip+5048+mk&sid=03790d601b4768d7a702f153534bcd42&start=450 The issues depending on the SW version and HW version being used. The main issues to me are the mppt drops to 0 and restarts. And if in auto mode the batteries are charged with 2A although charging from utility is forbidden.
  22. I am interested in this too. I want to install OG7.2 with us3000c and solar panels. I have done above with Axpert King and I am aware of this inverter's limitations. Wondering if the Kodak branded box is doing better.
  23. Do you have US3000 or US3000C ? Or any other version of the 3000?
  24. Where about are you?
  25. Thanks Coulomb, I downloaded, will try and give feedback. There is no later SCC version than mine isn't it?
