August 2, 20223 yr Hi All, Been quoted on the above battery for my solar install. Reading through the forums however, this does not seem like a very popular brand so it is slightly concerning. has anyone ever used these or know of these bats? apparently rated at 1.5C but i cant find much info or reviews. thanks in advance for any insights.
September 14, 20223 yr Hi, I use this exact UP5000 battery and it is great! Well made and perfect use. DOD 95% Good luck!
September 14, 20223 yr Author Thanks @JamesF. got it installed just over 3 weeks ago and so far so good.
September 20, 20223 yr @ZCSdo you have any idea how to view cycle count? Also got one and that only info I would love to see.

January 19, 20233 yr I installed a Luxpower SNA5000 5kw inverter and Greenrich UP5000 100ah 4.96kw battery (No Solar) in November 2022 and are experiencing issues. (Jan2023) 1) Inverter is only reporting a 50ah battery instead of 100ah. I have seen this to be a common issue with Luxpower on forums My inverter has the newer BMS cable setup that uses a standard ethernet pinout for comms. my battery brand is set to number 2 (seems to be OK with comms as it is reporting SOC%) 2) I get major voltage drop below 60% SOC I have set voltage cut-off at 44V because at low SOC the voltage just drops to 0 3) Practically- with average consumption of 300w during the night, I might reach 4 hours during load shedding but as soon as I even briefly consume over 1Kw, the battery dies before 2 hours. Is this a setting issue or is it a bad battery?

January 28, 20233 yr @JanPKotze Sounds like a faulty battery, however, what is your DIP switch set to? If you only have 1 battery, then only DIP 1 should be up? (1000) Or all DIPs down to represent master. If you have more than 1 battery, the second battery would be set to 0100. This allows the UPS and the battery BMS to communicate correctly and balance load, charge ect.. (Only applicable if you have more than 1 battery in parallel) Edited January 28, 20233 yr by JamesF

HI, this is display problem caused by communication between LUX inverter and BMS. you can upgrade the BMS firmware to solve the problem. but if you don't upgrade, it is NOT effect the performance of battery and inverter.

"2C" discharge means that the unit can produce "twice its rated current over time". The Greenwich is a 5Kwh Battery. At 1C, it could produce 5000w for 1 hour, or 500w for 10 hours, ect.. At 2C, the battery can produce 7500w (maximum rated) for 30min. Also, keep in mind that your inverter will need to handle 7500w for that to make any realistic impact. Checking the specs of your Growat inverter, it can only handle 7500w for 5s before overload, so no need to worry about the battery. Good Morning I have a Five Star 5kva inverter with 4 x 450 panels and a 5kw battery. I would like to add another batttery and 4 more panels. I cannot find any Five Star 5k batteries anywhere. 1. Can I add another brand battery that will not do any damage? same size 5k. Still using the same 5k inverter? 2. Can I add the same Five star brand but a bigger battery, still using the same inverter. This is combining the 2, 5k and 7k. 3. Do I need to change the inverter to a bigger size to accommodate a bigger battery
