August 26, 20223 yr Hi, I have a Infinisolar 3-Phase 10 KW inverter and it occasionally beeps (a warning, I assume). I'm assuming, based on the monitor I have, that a high load draw is causing this beeping. My question is: What's the expected draw level at which one might expect this beeping warning? I seem to get the warning at around 3kw of draw (which is hit with just my 'general house' + dish washer + iron operational). This seems like a low for a warning to kick in considering the 10kw rating of the Inverter, or do I not understand the rating properly (I'm thinking the draw might be concentrated on one of the phases, how could I tell?) ? August 27, 20223 yr Hi Trevor, on the display look at the load %. @Coulombis 100% correct. When you have more than 3.33kW on a single phase she starts to complain. With the Grid present in a certain mode she will complain but eventually Bypass. However, when the chips are down & loadshedding is in progress she will power trip & Spit out an Overload Error which is Error 11. One must observe the 3.33kW phase rating in the event the grid is down. The best mode of operation is Grid tied with backup ll. In this mode it will do as I have mentioned above. It will bypass when the grid is present & this exactly what you desire. Also if you do not want to Grid feed you must set it up to zero export. Make use of Solar Power software via PC.
August 31, 20223 yr Author Thanks for the answers @Coulomb/ @Steve87 - good to know there are people around with some knowledge of these things. I suspect then my house wiring wrt different circuits is less than ideal in that a few heavy items on the same circuit (kitchen appliances, pool pump and plugs that get used for ironing seem to share the same circuit).
August 31, 20223 yr Hi Trevor, indeed, this is a good reason why on a system such as this a very worthwhile & good idea is to do an essential & non essentials DB split. That way you get to no have nuisance trips happening during loadshedding. Another way is to have these conflict circuits attached to an Astute CBI smart breaker. You program them off during the blackout periods.
