October 1, 20223 yr I currently have 12 x 255W [old] panels, North facing with a Synsynk 5kw. I have no more space on the north facing section and was considering 5 x 540W panels to supplement on an available East facing section, wired to the second MPPT of the inverter. Unfortunately this would be quite far removed from the inverter and require a raised installation above a flat roof. An easier installation would be on the roof above the inverter at an azimuth of 135 degrees, i.e. just about SE. Any thoughts on the expected efficiency of the latter?
October 3, 20223 yr At 135 deg you will get a good yield in Summer early mornings. Half the day would be wasted though as you will get minimal yield. At that azimuth it would be better to have them as flat as possible, i.e. near horizontal to at least increase the yield spread over the full day
