Backup solution for ip camera and poe switch

Featured Replies

Hello

Been lurking here for a while. I'm wondering if anyone has a solution for ip cameras and a 48v switch to get through loadshedding. There's many mounted on poles around my complex

Thanks

I came across this site. They have a 48V DC Mini UPS which could help to power your switch and IP Cameras. They also have some case studies which give different scenarios which might also give you an indication of run time dependent on load.

It does seem a pricy solution to only have 75Wh of energy and no 24V output for POE.

It actually has 15/24V 1 Gbps passive PoE port as well as a 48V output port which can then power a 4/8 port PoE switch for multiple PoE cameras or devices.

You'd need to make up an injector combo to use it direct on a 48v camera

Thanks. I missed the 2nd last point and only read the last feature which only lists a 12V and 48V output.

thanks. this looks good. its a little pricey though. Will read up on them. Would be good if they have replaceable batteries though.
