October 19, 20223 yr I have an RCT VMIII 24v inverter hooked up to a Hubble AM-4 battery. The fans behave in an odd way in that they start up at what seems to be fixed intervals, irrespective of the load run for a short while and shut off. I am not sure if it is temprature or if it is the charger kicking in, the battery shows full and the BMS LED shows that it is sleeping. Below is a snapshot of the temprature, the blue being the inverter temp. What is interesting is that when the battery starts charging the temp drops as the fans run up during the charge. Anyone else have similar experience?

The fans are only either fully on or off, although I believe that you can have one on and the other off.

Indeed, only one fan comes in and out almost on a set interval - pretty annoying as the unit is in my kitchen!

Are you pretty sure you don't have a load of over 100W causing the small fan to come on. This is how my 24V works. During AC charge both fans come on and one can expect there will be quite a bit of heat during high current charge. Also when load is over about 100W to 135W small fan comes on. Then when having a say 1kW load both fans come on. This to me is also the correct way of operation. No fans during PV charging.

Even under a continuous load the fans still seems to come on at fixed intervals. It's only the left side fan that comes on, when the battery is charging then both fans do run.

Strange that your fan stops under load and on at a regular basis as mine will turn all the time if under load.
