Is it possible for the Deye Inverter to control when (times) and what (solar or grid) power is used to charge the battery.

Ideally I'd like only solar to charge the battery during the day and grid (Eskom) only at night if necessary.

I have the following setup:

1. 1 x Deye 5kw Hybrid Inverter
2. 1 x Dyness 4.8kw Battery (soon to be 2)
3. 5 x Canadian Solar 455W panels

 

Yes, you need to activate and use the Time of Use settings. In there you specify what % the battery must get to and if it must be charged by solar, grid or generator. 

The time of use settings as mentioned,there's tickboxes for the SOC you want and whether it should use Grid to reach it by time
