November 26, 20223 yr I need assistance please. I upgraded the CPU and MCU firmware of my inverter with the files in the link below. The CPU went fine, but the MCU has a problem. It completed successfully, but when it auto restarted, it did the normal countdown from 6 but it's stuck at 2 now. I have restarted everything but it does the same. There are two incompatible display chips used, one my ST Microsystems and one by GigaDevice. It's possible that you can recover by uploading the correct firmware, but it could be tricky. If that fails, you may need a JTAG programmer. If you don't want to go that route, they might have to send you a replacement display under warranty. I can't access the files above, it requires a login. Is yours a fairly new inverter? I would not expect older models to be caught out by this; this problem only seems to have surfaced since the semiconductor shortage. We'll need more information to help you restore your display. In the meantime, the inverter should still work, you just can't monitor anything, change settings, or update DSP firmware, or see anything useful on the display. Though you may be able to bypass the display, with a suitable adapter cable. But again, we need more information.

It still seems to be working, but don't get any output from solar assistant or watch power. The link to the files can be found in a document I found through Google. I'll look through that in detail soon. I believe that you likely have the new chipset display. For whatever reason, they didn't put that into the OG (Axpert VM III) folder. Fortunately, it's the same display hardware as the Axpert King (Kodak plus), so the 102.73 display firmware at this address should be what you needed. I disconnected the battery and PV. Switched off the grid power, waited 10 seconds and switched the grid back on. Now here is where it gets tricky... I had to time when I clicked update on the software perfectly, its about 4 seconds after I switch on the grid. Just before the inverter starts making clicking noises. I flashed it with the 102.73 display firmware and everything is working now 🙂 Thank you for the assistance and guidance. I have another question, but will start a new thread... 🙂
