Good day all, anyone know where I can verify that an installer's registration number is valid and up to date before contracting them to do an install?

You can take his registration number up with the contractors union... they will check it for you, just be aware it will cost a little but they will confirm that the contractor is licensed and registered.

Well if he's registered with the ECA you can contact them here: https://ecasa.co.za/contact-us/contact-us-jhb/

Otherwise, he may be registered with a different union, so check who he's affiliated with and contact the union to confirm he's still registered etc...
