2160 watts from 1500 watt panels

Featured Replies

Late this afternoon we were load shedding and I had the kettle on and expected to see the battery discharging as I only have 1500 watts in panels (seldom see more than 1300 watts) and it's around 17h00. It seemed the panels alone were supplying the full 2160 watt load to the kettle and house. I stepped outside and the panels were in full sun with an approaching cloud/mist wall in the perfect position to reflect a significant amount of extra light onto the house. Never seen that before but it probably happens when I'm not looking now and again.
