How does warrantees work. Should I purchase all equipment myself and getting installer to install? Heard shops don't want to deal with end users.  Intend purchasing major components through powerforumshop.

Well, if you're looking for a system install you're going to need a qualified electrician to do a CoC anyway. Having them involved in the purchasing process means they can advise on the the kind of system you need and what needs to be included with the install, which often makes the process a lot easier. Often the average person will forget about fuses, arrestors, sub-DBs and all the small things that are needed to meet regulation.

If you purchase the equipment yourself, you get a guarantee, but the installer won't help you with that. If they're a straightfoward type of person they will give you a limited warranty on the quality of their installation, and make it clear that as regards anything else you are on you're own,

If you get an installer, go with their recommendations, and leave it all to them, then if they're decent and competent then the install will have been properly done, and they will have and will use relationships wth the various suppliers involved. Also they will have some idea of what combinations of equipment.

Believe me, if you ever have problems with a 10kwh battery, and the installer is helping you resolve that, you will be very happy that they are carrying it away and not you.
