InfiniSolar V IV 5600 won't connect to Internet

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm hoping that somebody can help me with this. I am trying to configure the wifi module on the  InfoSolar V IV5600 inverter but do not have nay success. I can connect to the wifi module and select the AP. After I enter the AP password and confirm it return with the diagnostic screen telling me that there is an issue with communication with the wifi module and the server. diagnostic results

Things I have tried:

a) Confirm that the AP password is correct

b) Tried different AP's. I have 4 on my network and the one I will use eventually is right next to the inverter

c) Checked that I have internet access from all of the APs I have tried

d) Confirmed that there are not port blocking, url filtering or firewalls active on any of the APs I have tried

e) Restarted the inverter, hard and soft reboot, multiple time

Any ideas?

No worries, I sorted it out but not the way you'd think. To configure the wifi on these hybrid inverters you need to use the Solarpower app, which as mentioned I could never get done. So I decided to try Watchsolar, used for off-grid inverters, Well surprise, surprise, it worked first time. I then removed it and went back to Solarpower and it also worked. Cannot really tell what the difference between the two apps are, except for the icon.
