Sunsynk battery alarm light

Featured Replies

Good morning

Newbie needing some help please. Installed a Sunsynk inverter and 2 x 5kW Sunsynk batteries two weeks ago.

Since yesterday the slave battery's alarm light is on. Seems to be working fine during loadshedding, but returns to alarm state afterwards.

Installer took me through a shut down sequence for the inverter, but soon afterwards the alarm light was on again. I was asked to shutdown again, but also compeltey switch off the batteries and then the battery fuse box.

My question is, I can't seem to switch off the batteries completely. I hold the on/off switch for 3 seconds or more (even 30 seconds) but it just seems to reset and restart. Is there a way to completely shut off with no active lights on display? Have searched the web, but very limited information available,

TIA 🙏

Figured it out, there is a rocker on/off switch beneath the cover. Did a switch off sequence, alarm light gone. Hopefully it solves the issue.

😩 it did not work, alarm button on again.

What I did notice is that the batteries are showing 100% SOC, previously only went to 99% SOC.

Hi there, did you manage to resolve this proble?  I have the same issue this morning, after the system running okay for two weeks.

Yes, my installer spoke to Sunsynk and they recommended a firmware upgrade to the batteries. Was done this morning and so far so good, no alarm light 🤞

Is it still OK?
