Settings...Sunsynk 8 Kw as UPS no solar yet. - SOLVED

Featured Replies

Due to problems getting some large trees removed I want to run my system in UPS mode for now.

Since the grid will charge the battery do I set the SOC/V to 100% on all the time slots in System Mode? Or do I drop the %age for when loadshedding is in effect?

I would suggest to keep the batteries at 85% or 80%, as long as you have sufficient battery storage to pull through loadshedding. Keeping them at 100% isnt best for the health of the batteries long term

I don't think with the amount of loadshedding in SA there will be noticeable degradation.

Hopefully this won't be long term, if I can't fell the trees I will build a structure to accommodate the panels, the only problem being Rands and solar cable length.🙂
