The sticker on the side of my SS 8kw inverter says 22A and 28A You should try a firmware update

That's the voltage and amps I wanted from my 455W panels but the new Canadian Hiku6's come at lower volts and higher amps. Would have to go JA 450W to get the lower amps but my 8S string of 545W are JA and I wanted Canadian's for some difference. If I knew that these 455W had 13A I would have just done a 6S2P of 545W to get a higher mppt voltage and more usable power before the clipping.

Don't over think around the 1-2A that you might only get for 5min during cloud edge.

The current clipping doesn't bother me in summer and good days. The reason I want so many panels is for bad days and winter. I'd rather not "fix" my inverter with an upgrade, as it is working great, and there are features I don't want to loose. 👍 Canadian panels are great, not only for there operation, but they are tough as a tank. When we had Hail as big as tennis balls, the panels didn't get damaged at all. Where the hail hit the panels, the dust was cleaned off in a star pattern, but zero cracks or fractures, and still working 100% Edited June 4, 20233 yr by TimCam
