Sunsynk Extremely Inaccurate Metrics

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm in the UK and have had a Sunsynk 3.6kw inverter for a year now and ever since the installation I've noticed that the metrics displayed on the inverter portal are extremely inaccurate when compared to my energy supplier (Octopus Energy).

In the attached image, you can see

Octopus Import 36.20
Octopus Export 5.495
Inverter Total Import 28.5
Inverter Total Export 8

Import Difference 7.7kwh
Export Difference -2.505kwh

I understand that there would be some difference between the smart meter and the inverter due to resistance in the wire but a 7.7kwh difference is just crazy.

Is this just me but does anyone else see this sort of inaccuracy?
The inverter report I'm comparing is Equipment > Inverter > Click Inverter > Custom > Select Grid Import / Export from the parameters.

Thanks
Mike

That is why so many users have their own measuring systems :)
In the world of measuring there are a gazillion combinations of accuracies, all depending on the underlying electronics and how they are implemented.

Best is to find for yourself which ones you would like to trust over time, else you gonna go mad trying to find a perfect measuring solution :)
