Hubble Lithium AM2 Battery Settings

Featured Replies

Hello everybody😁 - We just recently had our installation finished with a Deye 12kW3ph inverter and 4 x Hubble Lithium AM2 Batteries.

The folks that did the installation used the AM2 Ver2.0 Manual for the installation, this specifies Bulk/Equalisation Charge 53.8V , and Float Charge 53.8V

I noticed that the batteries have a sticker on the side which has different settings, Equalized Voltage 53.6V , and float voltage 52.6V.

So, I went along to the website which confirmed that the AM2 Ver2.0 Manual settings are the right ones -  Bulk/Equalisation Charge 53.8V , and Float Charge 53.8V.

Now that I had conflicting information, I decided to contact Hubble Technical Support just to make sure, which one I should use and they came back with a completely different set of settings, and told me to use  Bulk 52.8 , Float 52.8 , so now I have three different sets of settings, and don't know what to believe 🙄.

There is a big difference between 52.8 and 53.8V at the upper end - I'd really appreciate some clarity from those in the know.

Thank you

@Nicholas Strachanwill appreciate this too.
The Hubble technical support in SA have been making up settings as they go along. Ultimately, that sticker on the side is after all what the manufacturer in China publishes.
This then became originally 53,6V for both bulk and float when the first issues started in 2021 with the Sunsynk Inverter combos.
Subsequently there have been numerous firmware updates which seemingly set the bulk and float to 53,8V when in Li Protocol mode. These firmware updates also reduced the capacity to 100Ah where the original was 110Ah. Later Firmware updates seem to have increased that to 105Ah as far as I could establish from other users. Don't know what the capacities show now with the latest Firmware. Mine is still at 110Ah.
I am certain that the person that answered you must have meant 53,8V as that seems to be the latest flavour which also seems to be the official reflection on their website.
Perhaps ask that person to give you the official documents stating the values that are protected by their "warranty".
I have long since given up on the Li Protocol which is not stable and causes battery capacity loss over time and I use 53,6V as the bulk via manual User mode and voltage control. This solved the issues for me without any needed Firmware updates.

Thanks for your input - I asked the Hubble tech to clarify the discrepancy, and he did not respond. 🤨

I have now installed Solar Assistant and observed it as the BMS controlled charging to 100%, and that now shows the Battery voltage as 53.7V. Interestingly, my total capacity is shown as 508Ah or 127Ah per battery pack ...mine are rated at 125Ah each .

Hi Guys

So I have been running my AM2 for about a year in the recommended (from the Manual and the side of the battery) at 53.6V. So far so good, battery charged to 100% according to the BMS every time.
Now I have increase the bulk and float charges to 53.8V for some sweet .2V extra juice. Will monitor how it goes but not expecting any difference.

As for the Capacity as you can see these my one is rated at 106.1 Ah. I wonder if @HubbleLithium recommends a firmware update?
