gimme_power
Hi all, will I be OK using 4mm2 Helukabel for PV wiring. One string = 5x545 Watt JASolar panels in series. Current(max) = 13A. V(max) = 5*43 = 215V. Maximum cable run to end of furthest string = 30m, minimum cable run to end of closest string = 20m Voltage drop < 3% I have 4 strings, could I lead the 8 conductors (4mm2) into one 32mm galvanized conduit? Thanks for the replies Edited May 18, 2023 by gimme_power

My calculation based on the capacity factor is yes. I have made no allowance for solar cable having a thicker insulation and also used the factor for PVC cabling. gimme_power and SolarDIY
