June 12, 20233 yr I have an Outback Flexmax60 MPPT charge controller. On my roof are 3 Solarworld 230W in series. They are in parallel with 3 Suntech 250W panels. Now I would like to add another string to allow me to run my pool pump during the day. But of course the world has moved on and now you can only find 400W and bigger panels. How closely must the voltages match? The Solarworld have Voc 36.9V, Vmp 29.8V The Suntech Voc 37.4V, Vmp 30.7V I can get some JASolar 415W with Voc 37.45V, Vmp 31.61V Should work? Seems the system will be limited by the lowest voltage.

Seems the system will be limited by the lowest voltage. These will work fine. The 3 strings will operate at the lowest voltage being the Sun world. You can ignore the current as each string will provide what it can. 270-280W panels are still available.
