Sunsynk 5kw Battery Anomaly?
Looks like the voltage was dropping for a few days before. I do not have enough solar to fully charge the batteries - that is in the pipeline. Is there a way of forcing a 100% charge automatically - say once a week or so?

Cool - thank you. I now have essential power (UPS total power) and with a bit of arithmetic non-essential load too.

Sunsynk 5kw Battery Anomaly?
SOC was 80% up until just before 4am. No power or current draw before that?

Sunsynk 5kw Battery Anomaly?
Woke up this morning and the inverter is drawing a lot of power from the municipality. WTF happened to my battery? Went from 80% to 2% before 5am? No increased load. System is 3 months old. Sunsynk battery and inverter.

Victron and Lithium
Is a Hubble AM-5 or Hubble AM-2 the way to go? Or is there better value for money on the market?

Victron and Lithium
Other way around - seems the MX60 was obsolete in 2008?

Victron and Lithium
I imagine the MX60 is a newer version. I have a Outback Flexmax 60. Same age as the batteries. 13 years old

Victron and Lithium
I have a Victron Multiplus II 48/3000 inverter charger that is connected to 2 banks of 4x 100Ah Gel batteries which have definitely reach end of life after 13 years! I also have an Outback Flexmax 60 MPPT solar charger connected to the same batteries. I do not have any Victron GX or Color interfaces. But I do have a Raspberry PI running Victrons VenusOS. I would like replace the batteries with lithium batteries. This will all have to be done on a budget so there is no chance of buying a Colour controller or GX device. Currently what would be the most suitable battery? I quite like the look of Hubble AM-2 or AM-5 batteries. And they have a setup guide for the Multiplus. Would they work with the Outback Flexmax. Thanks Paul
- Wanted: 230/250W Solar panels

Victron and Lithium
What about just setting suitable maximum voltage and current to match the battery in the victron and letting the battery take care of itself?
-
Victron and Lithium
Is it possible to connect a Victron Multiplus II to lithium batteries without using a Cerbo or ColourGX device? I have a raspberry pi with venus OS but I think it will need canbus to connect to lithium batteries? My lead acids are dead after 13 years - cannot complain there.

SOLD - Victron Multiplus 48/3000/35 Inverter Charger - NOT WORKING
THIS ITEM IS NOT WORKING. Victron Multiplus 48/3000/35 Inverter Charger. R1200.00 It was working perfectly until it occasionally started shutting down and restarting. This became more frequent over the course of several months until now it will not start up at all. Maybe you can repair it or use it to repair another one. Collection River Club, Bryanston.

Voltage Tolerance of Solar panels in parallel
I have an Outback Flexmax60 MPPT charge controller. On my roof are 3 Solarworld 230W in series. They are in parallel with 3 Suntech 250W panels. Now I would like to add another string to allow me to run my pool pump during the day. But of course the world has moved on and now you can only find 400W and bigger panels. How closely must the voltages match? The Solarworld have Voc 36.9V, Vmp 29.8V The Suntech Voc 37.4V, Vmp 30.7V I can get some JASolar 415W with Voc 37.45V, Vmp 31.61V Should work? Seems the system will be limited by the lowest voltage.

Which Inverter?
The Kodak VMIII 48V 5kW is R7530 from Segen and as you say only a few hundred more than the smaller inverters. I have read on this forum that the suppliers do not like to sell you less batteries than the inverter is rated for? So for a 5kW inverter I would need 104A = 4 Pylontech US2000. Now in this case I am supersizing the inverter but do not need the kWh capacity for the current anticipated load. I anticipate I will need 1.5kWh (that is a very generous guess) so will need only 1x US2000.
