Sunsynk 12kW (3ph) Questions

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a 12kw 3ph Sunsynk inverter installed, and would like some advise from other users on the following:

- Is your output voltage set at 220V/380V? My Eskom feed is normally around 235V per phase, so during load shedding, the inverter output drops to 220V, which I can notice on some appliances (such as the fans/turntable in our microwave). Are other users using the default 220V setting or changing it to 230V/400V?

- I don't have the CTs installed, and the inverter doesn't show my daily, or monthly grid consumption (just says zero). Is that the reason? So I need to install the CTs? All my loads are on the inverter essentials, so I could probably install the CTs inside the inverter enclosure at the grid connection?

Thanks,

Greg

CT coils must be installed and MUST go to your incoming grid lives before any other loads/connections on db, and as it's a 3 phase you would need to install ALL 3 ct coils if you are using all three phases. Add coils just after your meter or incoming line from eskom/utility, arrows pointing to the inverter.
Without the CT's installed correctly the inverter will behave oddly or at the very least you will have odd data readings.
