Low voltage buzzer

Featured Replies

My mecer inverter was built for lead acid batteries so does not shutdown before my lithium battery goes completely flat. The battery goes into protection mode and I need to wake it up with another 24v battery.

Does anyone know of a 24v battery voltage alarm or buzzer to warn me when its low?

This should not be like this.

Did you select USE under setting 5?

If you did the setting 29 for cut out can be set at say 22-25V which will be long before the lithium battery BMS switches off.

This is how I run mine and have never had a BMS switching off.

hi , the inverter is a 1440w small one, does not have any settings to change

Refer to the link @Modina

placed.

It is not for a buzzer but to switch off the inverter If used with a high power relay driven from the PCB.

You can also invert the XH M-609 output to switch on a buzzer when it switches off the output.

Thanks all, but none of the solutions will work for my needs, need something that alert me when the battery drops below a certain voltage, the cutout switches are great for dual battery type situations but not for my setup.

The XH-M-609 will work for you. At the lower stop discharging a relay will be de-energized. A N/C contact from a relay driven by the output will then give power to your buzzer. The moment the battery voltage picks up the relay will be energized and your buzzer will be off. Optionally you can add your own on/off switch once you hear the buzzer. Disadvantage is if you forget to switch it on again.

Here is a basic circuit that you might try as well. At times one will need a zener in series with R3 as the off state can have a output of a few volts.

This is how I remember it of very long ago. May be our electronic guys can add feedback and filtering and correct errors.

@BritishRacingGreen

That looks about right to me.
