Manufacturers usually guarantee tens of thousands of flash memory writes to each flash block, so tens of thousands of flash memory updates.

So this is not a problem.

Tree days ago I installed Fw:73.78,instead of 273.78..because I think was interesting to test original firmware 73.78

with  different "Maximum Power Low panel voltage ...I try command QMPL...answer Nak.

Still have 100V stack(with full sun)...but no so evident voltage drop is Sub Sbu Line

What i see is when inverter is Sub or Line ,Mppt is lazy to rump up with power.

 

One strange thing happen today:i manually move solar panel out of focus 10° to see how Mppt behave:

 I think Mppt restarts a new Voltage/Ampere tracking and solar power goes up;Voltage decrease...Current increase.

What I should try next: 273.78 or Version(@200V) or  173.78 minimum MPPT voltage of 120 V  ??

I no have the knowledge to say patches cause the problem.

I think it was because Mppt is set to 150V in Fw:573.78....

I think i should try: 273.78 with Mppt @200V as Fw: 373.63 Mppt @200V was working good for me...

I think that 200V mppt was optimal for my setup.

What you think?

 

Before 13.13 was in SBU mode (i write it on the bottom of the picture).

 

 I try command QMPL  eith original Fw:73.78..but I get answer NAK....

 Why? I  used Communication Tool.

I tested Fw: 273.78 yesterday,I think something not working..today i installed Fw:73.06 and was ok same as Fw:73.78.

I want to clarify:I m using solar tracker and the sky was super clear in all the test i made since 7 days.

I notice that shifting solar panel position trigger Mppt to recalculate Volt and Amp,

so i used to shift tracker position back from 15° west to 1° west and back to 15°W, to regain Pv Imput..this works,but after a while Mppt start again to go crazy.

Again switching solar panel position,trigger Mppt to ricalculate.

I think some patch not matching with fw: 73.08,something strange.

I post graph for better understanding.

anyone have problem with communication with inverter Axpert Max I 11KW to JK Inverter BMS?

I set inverter to PLY and bms to pylontech but have error 61 no comm, if I set inverter to LIB and bms to voltronic protocol I have comm but give error 70 and goes to bypass mode and batt voltage is not correct on inverter display, inverter has 73.78 firmware

I read around Jk inverter bms have problem with communication,but I cant help you because i have Jk Bms(normal one)

and it is connected to Inverter port by iBMS,a DIY esp32 board that talk to inverter and bms,

It is still in development,but is working fine with my Max 11kw inverter...and works also with 5048MGX.

Are there any firmware versions (I have an MPPT Max E 11kw 73.06 and 12.21) which allows setting of % for Pylontech that you are aware of?

The display firmware supports it, the DSP firmware does not. Sadly, I don't have any 73.xx firmware that does.

When I install the 73.78 version published on the site, I experience battery calibration and serial number issues on the device. However, when I install the factory-provided firmware, the issue is resolved

Yes, it's certainly possible.

This incompatibility with existing EEPROM contents is concerning. I hope to investigate when time becomes available.

I don't have the 73.76 firmware update file. I need that to develop a patch, obviously. Could you post a link here, or PM me with it, please?

It's also possible that I've screwed up the patch for 73.78, but usually that would not lead to working firmware at all, i.e. far worse problems than serial numbers and calibrations being wrong.

Oh, silly me, I found it after all. Sorry.

Now that I compare 73.76 and 73.78, I see that they do indeed access the EEPROM differently. Strangely, it seems to be 73.76 that is the unusual one, at least at first glance.

I don't have time to look into this in detail right now, but my preliminary theory is that 73.76 has unusual EEPROM accessing, so if you have an inverter that is running happily with this firmware, then you should be very careful updating to other firmware versions.

I believe that I can now identify fairly quicky if a firmware has unusual EEPROM accesses, so hopefully we can avoid problems with serial numbers, calibration values, and so on in future.

This is patched firmware version x73.76, based on factory firmware version 73.76 for the Axpert Max W 11kW '28066 non-Twin. Do not use with any other version. The hex file is dated 22/08/2022.

Special note: This firmware accesses the EEPROM contents in a way that is not compatible with other 73.xx firmwares. This means that serial numbers and calibrations will be wrong, and you may end up with fault code 90 later on. For now at least,  do not use this firmware unless it is currently successfully running with factory firmware version 73.76. Similarly, if you are currently running 73.76, do not be tempted to update to a later firmware version!

You have been warned!

This firmware does not process the QDOP command, so even with suitably recent display firmware, it will not support SoC% for settings 12,13, and 29 when connected to a suitable battery's BMS.

Version 273.76: Minimum MPPT voltage is 200V.

Version 173.76: Minimum MPPT voltage is 150V.

Version 973.76: Minimum MPPT voltage is 90V, i.e. unchanged. However, it has all the other patches (especially the current threshold of 0.1A, down from 0.5A) that all three patched versions have. These patches are from Georg 594's original patches to factory firmware version 90.06 for an Axpert Max 8kW non-Twin model, applied to 11kW factory firmware version 73.76.

dsp_original is factory firmware version 73.76 unchanged.

Hi,
I currently have a Voltronic Axpert Max II E Duplex 11kw and I’m facing the “stuck at 90v” during cloudy days.
The inverter has main CPU firmware version 63.04 and secondary CPU firmware version 22.24.
There is any firmware that I can use to update the inverter and solve the current issue?

I have an Axpert Max II 11 kW inverter and I have a problem with the 90V freezing.

The model is branded as Sunmart, which firmware is suitable for it.

This appears to be a clone, so it's unknown what firmwares might work with it. But it appears to be using an early 73.xx firmware, so it it was a genuine Voltronic, then patched firmware versions 273.63 or 373.63 would address the stuck at 90V issue. Unfortunately, 73.63 is from January 2023, but that should still be a step forward from 73.03.

Do not attempt to use patched firmware versions x73.76, since factory firmware version 73.76 seems to use an incompatible EEPROM layout to other 73.xx firmwares.

Use 373.63 if your PV voltage is almost always above 200 V even in cloudy conditions.

Hello.
I have a Max E 11 kW inverter.
The Main CPU version is 73.06 and the Secondary CPU version is 12.21.

My issue is as follows:
When I supply power to the device from a stable AC grid, it works properly. However, when I supply power from a generator, the system does not switch to or accept the AC input. I believe this is due to voltage fluctuations from the generator.

Which firmware / CPU version would solve this issue?

Inverters are often picky about generator quality, and Axperts certainly are.

See FAQ #7.

Unfortunately, no firmware update or patched firmware will help.

Hello everyone. MppSolar sends me new firmware for PIP 11kw Max 73.93. This firmware supposedly solves the 90V problem, but it didn't solve anything for me. To be more precise, after the firmware update, it started freezing at 120V. Maybe it'll be useful to someone. Thanks and have a nice day.

The main MPPT algorithm is identical to 73.08; they just changed the minimum MPPT voltage. The current threshold is still too high at 0.5A, plus there are a bunch of other patch locations that I didn't check as I'm sure they have not yet gotten the memo, sadly.

At least 73.78 seems to have the "presumed good logic", although my notes are conflicting on this.

Probably the best firmware to minimise the PV stuck at 90V issue is patched firmware versions x73.76. [ Edit: OOPS! There is a major problem with EEPROM layout. Read the WARNINGS carefully! I need to carefully figure out Voltronics' mess there. Sigh. ] Maybe one day I'll get around to patching the latest 73.xx firmware that I have, which currently is 73.93 from the above. Factory firmware version 73.76 that the current patched firmwares are based on is from August 2023.

Thank you for answering Coulomb. I make some tests, and what I can tell, 73.93 firmware after update I trying Your updated firmwares 273.63 and 273.78, and my serial number of inverter become 533533.... into a simple set of numbers.

And I make conclusion my EEPROM also updated with 73.93 firmware. After that, I test x73.76, and after one morning I can tell, that is works better than before. My serial number is also original right now. I will be wait from you new firmware. Thank you for that, you save a lot of money for me. I will buy you coffee later. 😉 And one question in archive x73.76 there is 1,2, and 9, what is the difference between them? Thank you once again and have a nice day.
