July 31, 20232 yr My prepaid units depleted early this morning and I am now unable to reload/recharge units due to no grid power. Any suggestions on what I can do to load units? Thanks Edited July 31, 20232 yr by IM10
July 31, 20232 yr What sort of unit do you have, mine has a small 9v battery in it to "connect" and recharge. Assuming there is no loadshedding at the moment i.e. grid power is available to see. Another question, do you perhaps have a new install and this is the first month needing prepaid top-up (that's how i learnt my lesson). In my case, my plugs are all on the essential side of the inverter, so i have to switch to eskom only (bypassing the whole inverter) to be able for my specific unit to communicate with mains. Planning on a dedicated plug for this in future but until then this is my fix.

I am planning to go and get a new one now and see if that changes things. I also have to do the workaround whereby I bypass the inverter in order to load units. However this is the first time where my units depleted completely since installing the inverter. Once I bypass it, my meter is not powered.

July 31, 20232 yr Author I replaced the battery, bypassed the inverter and the units loaded. Thanks for your input @Garthox

January 30, 20251 yr Good day. My name is Nokwakha. I'm in Eastern Cape, Willowvale, KuloGojela. I reported my faulty electricity many times, after a fix by someone who said was from Telkom it worked, but nonstop, I reported that again, nothing was done. I'm not sure where to reach the correct place for reporting or for help
