Growatt invertor AC Problem

Featured Replies

Good Day any one. Nee help with my Growatt sp 5000 es. Seems it giving AC current to my DP Box on the inline to grid. It only happen during day time with PC on with full sun on the panels. inverter kick off for some time, then after a wile it connectes again by it self. Is it a setting on inverter thats not set right. I know there is people selling power to the grid. I don't want to do that. I can see that the AC input is getting higher and then it happens. It is set to 230v and 50hertz.

Can somebody help me with that settings. Or if not settings to give me advise.

Thanks

  • @AndreAndre There is not much you can do but to contact the council to change the tap on the transformer as @Scorp007mentioned. The inverter cannot controll the input voltage the Growatt specs in

It looks like to me the grid volts are high and so the inverter cuts grid and switch to battery mode .

The 230v 50hz setting only apply to battery mode in utility mode what  the  grid gives the house get til the grid volts go to high and inverter switch to battery mode

@AndreAndre

The 1st call is to the supply authority to show them the high voltage and hope they will change a tap or 2 on the transformer.

Failing this but at a few thousands will be to add a voltage stabiliser between the grid and your inverter.

Another call would be to change the inverter.

Have you tested the actual grid voltage with a multimeter to confirm that the Inverter Grid voltage displayed is the actual grid voltage.
277V is way above the norm.
Have you also tested with grid disconnected to see if the behavior changes?

Yes that i understand but it only doing that during the day when solar is on peak, (day time 6 to 6, and it's doing that from about 10 to 15h00 and only in sunny days.

in cloudy days it's running the hole day with out any problem.

That voltage is only when i'ts kicking off. from after noon 15h00 to next morning say 10h00 voltage is constantly normal from grid 230v

And only sometimes it happen that the vots is going higher To 277v.

Is it not a setting. I know there is poeple selling power to the grid. Is that setting not on??
