Hi forum! First post so apologies if it's on the wrong thread.

I have a DEYE Sun 5K Hybrid inverter. Is this the same as the Sunsynk inverter? They look identical!

If this is the case, I have one which powers 2 x 5kW batteries on a combiner box/bus and the software that comes standard with the inverter is not great.

Can anyone recommend a way to monitor the system performance better? Thank you in advance. HP.

Hardware wise they are the same - they come off the same production line in China. Software wise is where the difference is. In terms of remote monitoring you have the standard Solarman software or you could get the slightly better Deye Cloud software or you would also get an additional device and run Solar assistant. It really boils down to what your needs would be from a monitoring and control perspective

Hi @mzezman and thanks.

At the moment it only seems to update every 5-10 minutes or so using the basic phone app and I keep running out to the garage to see what it is actually doing.

I would like to be able to see my stats live at the very least. In a perfect world I would like to be able to have it interact with another interface, like if my production goes over a certain value to divert power to an appliance or device.

Any suggestions welcome!

You could write an email to [email protected] and ask for the refresh rate to be changed to once a minute, rather than 5 minutes. That costs you basically nothing except maybe more data, and the usability is immediately improved.

Otherwise, as above, get Home Assistant on a separate device.
