Does anyone know if Solar Assistant software is compatible with a Fivestar 8KVA Hybrid Inverter. 

I have been a ICC/ICM user but have unfortunately experienced that they do not yet have compatibility with this inverter type. 

I have attached a photo of the type of inverter I am referring to.

That's an Axpert-style screen,but Fivestars can be iffy (other poster noted it may read as a Growatt)

You'd likely have to remove the Dongle and connect a serial-to-usb cable to a Solar-assistant Pi to read it

Let us know if you come right, I have Esener 5.5kw inverters with the same dongle and I can't seem to get watchpower to recognise over USB to Serial 🤷 (cable purchased from Solar Assistant). 

My friend got one working by setting it to as a Growatt - worth a try

Tried to no avail, all options show a time out. I have asked Solar Assistant support for a cable pinout diagram to ensure the RX and TX are correct as WatchPower doesn't pick up anything on COM5.

DessMonitor with the Dongle seems to work fine for all 3 of them in parallel

Looks like the latest beta track has support for Fivestar 5kw inverters
