AXPERT MAX 8 KW dual mptt problem

Featured Replies

I will write my observations. Recently, I replaced the inverter from Viktor 5.5 kW to Easun SMW 8 kW. In many cases it turns out to be worse than the old one. I have it set to SUB.

Minuses

1. He takes about 65w for his needs and sometimes more. The old one only took 20w.

2. Has problems with charging batteries. I have USER charging set to 57 and charging to 55. The inverter keeps charging to 57 and does not let up. I've already tried changing the settings the other way around and it still results in higher loads.

3. When I have a high power consumption at home and I draw energy from the grid, the battery voltage drops as if I stopped charging completely (the old one kept a constant voltage all the time).

4 If the house consumes, for example, 200W, it cannot reduce the consumption from the network to less than 120W and the sunlight is sufficient.

My software is U1 72.05 U2 12.21

Does anyone have a similar experience?

Sorry about my english.

1. Some inverter do consume more than othere from grid and being 8kw inverter it will consume more .

2. Seems like this inverter suffers from the float bug but with out see you full setup hard to say .

3. Hard to say what's going on there but some inverter in grid mode do consume battery power some consume up to 7% battery overnight  when charging only from solar.

4 if you have setting set to sub most expert inverter do still consume from the grid even if solar is enough set your setting to sbu or sol then it will only consume from solar and battery  for as long as there sun.

The main (72.05) firmware is about 9 months older than the latest I know of, 72.68. Beware of "72.68" firmware update files with the wrong contents; this is the correct one: https://powerforum.co.za/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=35447&key=7980b706ff5525c1b9a9f3e4dcb1346b .

Updating may fix some of your issues.
