Hi, can anyone help me fix my Growatt SPF5000ES inverter that trips within minutes of loadshedding kicking in and then resets itself? This happens every 10-15 minutes during loadshedding but not when there is utility supply. 

My Growatt firmware is 040 / 041 05 7.01 

I have a Pylontech UP5000 battery as the master battery feeding the inverter.

This tripping error does not occur when my other, Growatt SPF5000ES inverter, with updated firmware was the master (both inverters were in parallel, but this newer inverter is in for repair, so the older one is the only one now in use).

Let me know if anyone can advise how to fix this.

@Vaunn we need a bit more information or should I say you need more information about the sate of charge of your battery during loadshedding. Do you only have one battery for two 5kw inverters?

Generally things that cause restarting are overload of the inverter or battery. 

What happens if you remove the load from the inverter - and every five minutes (or longer), switch one trip of the load back - to increase the load to the inverter. 

If you find the trip that causes the problem, with the power off check if there is no earth leakage between the live wire and the earth point (use a multi-meter).

I have a similar problem at my sons place - I suspect an earth and the neutral wire is in contact - the trip that kicks the inverter out, works perfectly when connected to the Eskom supply - even through the earth leakage. This is due to the earth and Neutral being connected together on the feed outside the house.

I have a Growatt 5kw inverter with 5.12kwh svolt battery. 

All running fine until about 20mins into loadshedding. Then trips the battery on about 20% load according to inverter. Manual restart of battery sometimes trips immediately,  but a second restart is successful.  

Its a new installation.  

Can anyone help please
