Solar Assistant not connecting to dual band router

Featured Replies

I have a problem connecting SA to  Mikrotik Hap Ac2 Dual Band. Tested the SA pi orange connected to single band router without a problem even connects to my smartphone hotspot. Any work around to get Solar Assistant pi orange connected to a dual band router to access internet. Unfortunately the client has the Microtik dual band and will not change to single band router. Any help on above matter will be appreciated.

Create a separate 2.4ghz wifi network for IoT devices (single band 2.4ghz only . Similar to a guest network. This would be as good as a 'single band router'.

The mikrotiks can do this, just that they are confusing to use and setup. Probably someone could help you to get it done. Or Google a tutorial.

^^^ This.  + Do the 2.4 & 5GHz on the Mikrotik have the exact same SSID name?  I've had that cause a similar issue before.

@HedgeSlammer

Yes thanks the SSID for the 2.4 & 5GHZ are identical if i recall correctly i do have Winbox on my laptop will change the 5 GHZ band and see if it connects then via the SA hotspot.
