It does not record the peak value. Normally peak power is used with geyser on and cooking in the evening. There are different models around and I have been using this version for 5yrs. You don't need to get an inverter that matches your peak. If you have to use some grid for peaks it is the most economical way. Depending on your current day time use will give a good indication of which size. Your peak PV production is in any case only for a few hrs in the day. This is what i use for load monitoring and calculations very accurate even startup currents detected, the secret of getting good power usage data is to monitor it for 1 week before calculating inverter and battery size. What is nice about it i leave it running at a client and i could remotely read the graph and load info. You get them in single phase and 3 phase. https://www.sustainable.co.za/products/iammeter-bi-directional-single-phase-wifi-power-meter-150a?variant=44143108161776¤cy=ZAR&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gclid=Cj0KCQiA2KitBhCIARIsAPPMEhLIILBlTNZcqtzLIJxXrt9etRK_0q_8jPhaVfJl-v8EpmuK3jQy2hoaAo9QEALw_wcB https://www.sustainable.co.za/products/iammeter-bi-directional-three-phase-wifi-power-meter-150a?variant=44143161114864¤cy=ZAR&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gclid=Cj0KCQiA2KitBhCIARIsAPPMEhJYClj6u8jJJkFMlVnQmFNxlFWWDcMqVafQ-LE9yk4dqUqeLphdGKkaAg18EALw_wcB

A lot of guys would have much better systems if they used you to at least get their real time use before embarking on installing a PV system.

Yeah they are great units i purchased the 3Ph 500A unit end last year quite expensive but worth it for me unfortunately you can't just change the Ct's between the 150A and the 500A, and you also get a 250A 3Ph.
