I have a client who has an existing 12kw Deye inverter and she wants to add panel. The roof is limited with space. Am I able to put 10 x 550w panels on string 1 and another 10 on string 2?

If i understand you correctly you want to input both strings on Mppt1? Any reason you don't want to use 1 string on Mppt1 and 2nd string on Mppt2? If the arrays are different orientations then you need to use 2 Mppt's. Then you have the 3rd Mppt spare.

Yes sorry, I want to put 1 string if 10 panels on mppt 1 and another string of 10 panels on mppt 2.

This will be ok?

Yes no problem you have a total of 15.6kw between 3 mppt's so 5.5kw on mppt1 and 5.5kw on mppt2 will be in the ball park. Just make sure your Voc does not exceed 450v/ string.

On 2nd thoughts the 550w panels normally have Voc of 49.6v so you will exceed the 450v rather 9+9panels/ string would be safe.
