November 4, 20241 yr I purchased 2x Hubble S-100 "retrofit" batteries for my 3KVA inverter sometime in early 2023, connected in series, after i replaced my old 12v VRLA batteries. My PV circuitry became defective on the inverter now though, so i am in the market to purchase a new one and am likely going with the Luxpower 6KVA inverter. But this runs at 48v. I can either purchase another two more Hubble S-100's, but I have looked at the Hubble AM2 sealed battery pack. While double the price of two S-100's, it affords a lot more stored energy and seems to be worthwhile upgrading instead of adding another 2 of the retrofit lithium batteries. I see the Hubble batteries advertise an expected lifespan of 10 years but not sure how long the actual warranty is on Hubble? The batteries are then about 18 months old, I will have invoicing for this somewhere still though. I am looking to see what it is worth if selling secondhand, to see if it becomes affordable for me to upgrade to the Hubble AM2 Battery pack. I am in Cape Town, if anyone has any offers? R6500 for both. Edited November 11, 20241 yr by My Real Name Price declared.

Although you mention CoCT it might be a good thing to provide the detail like price etc as per the selling template. Edited November 9, 20241 yr by Scorp007 Removed bogus link
November 8, 20241 yr Author Scorp007, I do not know the price of what these should be sold as, hence looking for advice in this regard. The link though, shows a "good night" image? Not sure if we should be expecting the lights to all go out again? 🙂

Mine are 3yrs old and working very well. I have only put on about 32 cycles in this time but added 16 in the last 7 weeks.
November 9, 20241 yr Will also be be keen if price is decent. Family member might be able to transport from CT in December.

Look at what you could discount from new batteries take into account you used them from early 2023.
November 11, 20241 yr Author @TaliaB I was looking for R3500 per battery, but want to sell them together, and will sell both for R6500. But isn't there a way on the BMS to see the cycle count? So to get accurate information on usage? I see Hubble warranty the cells for 15 years but only guarantee the batteries for 2 years? I have the original invoicing and purchased them sometime in the beginning of 2023. I want to say March, but will have to check to be sure. (edit- Checking past emails, I see I purchased them from Linkqage each for R6300 excluding VAT, and I placed the order at the end of April 2023 and had to wait until they had stock.) Are the batteries still available. Would you be willing to courier (at additional cost)?
