Voltronic Infini 10KW weird battery behavior

Featured Replies

Voltronic Infini 10KW + Narada NPFC lithium battery + Solar Assistant. Been working fine for a while, except that solar assistant started throwing some voltage dip warnings recently. Inverter and Battery are Not showing any errors/warnings.

From past 2 days:

- When the PV is available, around 70-100W are being sent to battery (as per the inverter) BUT no charge is being received by battery (as per battery). Battery is Not charging, even though its around 47% right now.

- When the PV is not available, around 127-129W are being consumed from the battery even with the grid present (as per the battery). Previously, no power was being consumed from battery with Grid present.

As a result battery slowly drains during the evening/night But doesn't charge during the day. All the settings in inverter look good to me.

Any idea what's going on?

Powered off the inverter completely and turned off the battery. Turned both on and its working fine now. Maybe the voltage dips in Raspberry PI sent a corrupt signal over usb to inverter and caused this issue.

Hi LionKing,

Inverters as well as BMS are microprocessor controlled. It can happen that its RAM gets corrupted or they crash. I have experienced this with other devices such as router and optical network terminal. Rebooting helps most of the time. Luckily none such happened yet on my 2 Axpert 5kW units for over 4 years.
