Data Sheet Clarification

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I apologise if this sounds very basic but the spec sheet of the Solis Inverter confuses me. I cannot get a read on it.
The Spec sheet says 32A/20A as the maximum input current. The Inverter has 2MPPT Input and 3 Input String Number.

My question is, is the max input string on each PV input 32A?

Thanks in advance

PV1 + PV2 = MPPT1 = max 32A total. Intended for east+west arrays combined.

PV3 = MPPT2 = max 20A. For main North or South array.

BTW: on the bottom of a physical inverter the PV1 + PV2 should be grouped in a square symbol. Aren't they?

Many thanks.

This was my initial thought but the grouping got me all confused. From the picture, it is clearly not. I am awaiting response from Solis to truly see if PV1 and PV2 are grouped.

Many thanks once more. You have clarified it for me perfectly. I have got a couple of bifacial panels and current from the 585W ratted panels can push 20A+ . I have heard the Solis Inverters do not react well to over current somethings. So wanted to make sure I am well clear of that.

I assume that the picture is from the manual, so it might not be 100% accurate.

Can you take a look directly at the inverter? If you have it already, of course.
