February 24, 20251 yr My pylon batteries are earthed as is indicated in the Fotos above. Each earth cable enters the DC DB Box. That is a big congestion. From the DC DB Box an earth cable runs to the earth setup of my PV Array. I intend to add a 5th battery. Makes it rather takkie. I have two thoughts on accommodating this: 1. Is to have a separate box placed next to the batteries coupled to the stand. where all earth cables enter an isolated box connected to a buzz bar and have only one cable going to the DC DB Box. 2. To interconnect the earth points [same as is done with life and neutral cables] in series and only have one cable going to the DC DB Box. Which of the two options are the better choice and is there any matter I've missed? Is there anyone who has addressed this setup - I'd like to see their solution. Thanks. February 25, 20251 yr I think you overkill. On your picture I see that your packs are installed in a rack. If the rack is earthed that should be good enough. I have my packs freestanding and run them without earthing for years - no problem. The manufacturers (Leoch) manual does not even mention earthing. I finally decided to earth them with one earth bar running over all cases and then connected to the inverters earth.
February 25, 20251 yr Author Thanks. However, I'm going to link the earth cables as indicated in the attached photo. It looks as though the inner is linked to the earth screw and Pylon issues each battery with a separate cable. My rack stands on a three-ply wooden sheet.
