March 7, 20251 yr I connected a Restar company 5k lithium battery to an axpert-vm-iii-6k-twin-off-grid inverter and after a few seconds an error 69 appears even though the battery screen shows that the charge percentage is 50%Can anyone solve this problem?!!
March 8, 20251 yr It may be that the battery is unbalanced. This is not unusual when the battery is new, and has sat on a shelf for possibly months. If so, it may eventually balance and allow charging to higher and higher SoC over a week or two. Warning code 69 merely means that the inverter has received a message from the battery BMS that it should not charge the battery until further notice. Later Voltronic firmwares deleted this warning message, as it caused more confusion than it helped. I'd rather know the reason that the inverter is not charging the battery, personally. Is the 50% showing on the inverter screen or the battery screen? In theory, the inverter should be getting the SoC% from the BMS, which should have a good idea of the actual SoC.

March 13, 20251 yr Assuming that the Restar BMS talks the same protocol that your inverter is (selected by the Battery Type setting, e.g. PYL, LIB), then it seems to me that your battery is simply badly unbalanced. Is there more than one battery module? If so, are they the same age, and have they always been connected to each other?Does the problem seem to be slowly getting better? For example, warning code 69 at 50% one day, then at 52% the next day, 53% the day after?

I waited until the battery reached 30% discharge and the message did not disappear. Note that I set 1 sbu2 50A5 lib12 20%13 40%16 oso26 55.827 55.829 48
March 14, 20251 yr I'm out of ideas. Perhaps someone who uses a Restar battery, or at least a battery using the LIB protocol, could comment.
