Inverter won't restart!

Featured Replies

Hello All. Posting here for the first time, so please, go easy on me!

I have 3 of the Deye inverters SUN-8K-SG02LP1-EU-AM2 configured in a parallel, in my off grid house and for the past 3 years and they have performed perfectly. But it seems this morning one of the units shut down/powered off and it will not restart. Display screen is off. I tried disconnecting the battery and the Solar panels to see if it will restart the inverter, but it wouldn’t turn back on. Is there any suggestions you may provide me as to how to get it running again.

NOTE: Since all 3 inverters were connected in parallel on a single phase, of course, all the power to the house was shut down, when this inverter shut down.  However, since then, I have taken the system off parallel mode and now operating on a single inverter which is working well for the time being, But I really would like to get this fault rectified and go back to my parallel configuration. Any helpful suggestions are welcomed and appreciated!

Thanks

Welcome to the forum. In which country are you residing? Did you try and connect the problematic inverter on it's own? Do a hard reset discconect utility pv and battery and wait 10 minutes for caps to discharge. Pre charge before connecting battery then connect battery only and see if the inverter restarts. If not you have a hardware failure and suggest you have it repaired by a reputable technician.

Ps. Just for interest sake you have 24kw power in a residential setup if i understand correctly. Do you have large inductive loads? What is your incoming utility supply rated for?

thank you I will try that! No, I do not have any large inductive loads. ( I know it's over Kill ). As for the incoming utility, there is none, I am completely off grid!
