If you mean why is the production different, each string may be getting different solar input.

If the strings are essentially identical, then it's possible that the battery voltage calibration of one inverter is different to that of the other. With low loads and low charging current, do the two inverters report the same battery voltage, within 0.1 V? If not, adjusting the calibration could help.

If you mean why are they reporting production with no loads, solar input also charges the battery.

2. no I meant with 12kwp of panels in this configuration I would expect a much higher production at the end of a sunny day. Unless the inverters only report the production if there is a load connected. I thought they reported the production regardless of the load.

3. the battery is detected by both inverters with a gap of 0.5V

Point 2. If no loads are connected and battery full the panels can't produce power as it is not needed.

It would be just like the grid power. If you don't have loads the grid power meter cannot measure power that you use. The power just waits for a load to be switched on.

As noted above, the inverters can't report potential production, only actual production.
