Voltronic Axpert King II 5kw Inverter Problem ( Fixable ? )

Featured Replies

Hi there

Is there any hope for fixing this inverter? Is it worthwhile, or should I just send it to the scrapyard never to buy them again ?

Bought 2 brand new (and expensive at the time) King II 5 kw inverters (with 6kw MPPT) from FullcircleSolar end of March 2023. Had many problems getting it to work in parrallel mode without error codes due to magnetic interference with each other. Eventually had to send one back and take loss on it by accepting another (bigger) 2nd hand inverter form them in return, for which I had to pay more for. (This unit now also gives problems by just switching off (going in eco mode) whenever it wants.

But 6 months ago, after working for 2 years without giving any problems ever, the remaining King II just stopped working one evening while under low load. It smelled like something burned inside. I sent supplier email below but they said warranty is only 1 year. I already bought another inverter to replace this one. Is anyone interested / capable to fix this main board of the King II inverter ? The rest of the components is fine I think. I thought about fixing it myself if it was just a capacitor short or something, but I looked hard and long using my multimeter but as I'm not professional in this stuff I cannot find what is causing the short on the DC circuit. It's taking up space too long now on a spare table in my house and I'm about to scrap it as a lesson learned to never buy a new untested product/inverter from Voltronic brands again.

Good day

One of these expensive Voltronic Axpert King II inverters that I bought from you just stopped working during Friday night.  It does not want to go on again.  It seems to have a short on the battery input terminals as it make both my battery DC breakers trip, as well as the over current protection from the batteries themselves.

Can I send it back to you for repair?  It is still under the 2 year guarantee from when I paid for them.  One of the reasons I bought these genuine Voltronic King inverters from you, and paid much more for them than others,   is because Paul told me they are much better quality that others on the market that is knock-off Axpert inverters.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.  Paul is welcome to give me a call to discuss.

Which area do you reside ? Sure there is some help from those that know these units.
