Axpert Inverter in Home Assistant

Featured Replies

Good day all.

I am fairly new to home assistant. I have had an inverter system setup for a couple of years with 2 5KW Axpert King inverters and 3 3000C pylontech batteriss that have work reliably.

I have recently been installed home assistant bare bone on an old gaming computer and have been adding some components like Tuya devices and the pylontech batteries to my dashboard.

The only integration I can find for the inverters is Axpert Inverter on HACS. I have tried in vain to connect it, first on the USB and later through a serial interface. It goes to the default connection (/dev/hidraw0). I have tried changing that to all the other paths that I could see in the device manager on HA.

Anyone with any advice please, or should I rather install HA in a docker as there seem to be more available options for integrations in docker supporting the Axpert inverters.

My end goal is to change the inverters to feed energy from solar to loads once the battery status is full and also switch on a Tuya relay to heat the geyser.

Anyone that has experience or smarts on this please assist

I have an Axpert inverter installed and gave up using the HACS integration to get the information into HA.

I ended up buying a Pi with Solar Assistant installed. Nice and easy to get this to communicate with HA via MQTT

The 65 entities under "Axpert Inverter", do they not show? i.e. Settings, Devices & Services, Entities?

Everything shows unavailable
