Hi,

Is it possible to share a 48v AGM battery bank with a GoodWe inverter and Axpert Inverter if I setup the following:

Axpert is only for load shedding (and will set charging to only charge from solar) there is no solar so it should not charge the battery.

Goodwe has Solar and is going to be in charge of charging the battery.

It will work in the sense that the Axpert will run and loads will be powered.

Your Goodwe is going to lose track of the battery's state of charge though... because something is discharging the battery "behind its back". I don't know how serious a problem that is going to be.

I would think it would check all the time and adjust ?

I must ask: Why?

Goodwe does all the solar and self consumption, I need 10kw of backup so I will use two axperts to do that, as I cannot parrallel the goodwees

I would think that was fine. It doesn't know the SOC of the battery, so it will just charge it till it gets to the right voltage. If the Axperts are taking up to 10 kW of power from the battery (it will need to be quite large), then it will take a long time to get to that voltage. If the battery voltage goes down after having just charged it, it should eventually just start charging again.

I think you will want to set the Axpert's absorb/bulk setting to a little less than that of the Goodwe, and the same with the float setting. That's so that the Goodwe is "in charge" of the charging, as you want.

The backup loads and main loads will have to stay completely separate; they can never be paralleled.

I think it will work.
