June 10, 20197 yr Hello @Coulomb, was wondering if you can help me out with this Axpert inverter bought from Germany but is being used in Nigeria Africa if i can safely update the firmware because i am thinking of parallelling it with the MPP-5048ms. Thank you very much, Fred

It would have to be one of the earliest PF1 models, I would think. Quote because i am thinking of parallelling it with the MPP-5048ms. That's presumably a 64 V model. So it hinges on whether the German bought inverter is a 64 V model. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it is, but I'm not certain that they always reveal this information on the stickers. So check if setting 13 will go to 64 V (no need to save any change, just see if it would let you get past 58.0 V and use the ESC button to cancel without saving). If you can (i.e. it's a 64 V model), then it presumably comes with something like 72.00, and can be updated to 72.20 or patched firmware 72.20e. If you go for 72.20e, you should also update your PIP-5048MS to 72.20e. If it's not a 64 V model, there is no way to parallel it, and no firmware available to update it to, unless you can get it from your supplier. They seem extremely reluctant of late to supply any firmware update files, even in cases where it's desperately needed (such as the PV pause and freeze problems with many recent models).
June 15, 20197 yr Author @Coulomb Sent somebody to check the Inverter Firmware is 72.00 and MPPT firmware is 0412 and the Pos. 13 went past 58V does that mean i can updtae to the 72:00e firmware? Thanks abunch
