July 3, 20197 yr Hi All I have a few Royal 12v 105Ah "batteries" showing at 12.7volts or there about, at rest. Plug a lightbulb onto them and there is no amps after about 15 minutes. Im considering buying a battery desulfator (ctek vs optimate) Anybody with personal experiences to share? Are the batteries gone? Can they be revived? Which is a better desulfator etc Thx
July 4, 20197 yr I have used my C-tek for quite a few years, but was used for car batteries. It is only now that I am getting into the solar stuffs. I have found that standard car batteries a-la Willard, Sabat, Varta etc usually easily given quite a decent life extension. The 7Ah "alarm system" batteries however usually don't give such good results.

July 4, 20197 yr As far as I'm concerned, desulfators are a scam. Well, not entirely, I think they may provide a little extra life. Maybe. I get the feeling this is one of those products that people buy... and then don't review later because they feel a little ashamed of believing the hype (and they ended up buying new batteries anyway) 🙂
