  1. I was not rude. This user wanted to know WHY the seller was selling. 1. The reason for the sale was in the advert so its obvious that he didn't read the advert. 2. Its irrelevant why a person sells. If you want to buy then buy. What if the person lost his job. Must be advertise this to the entire forum? 3. Do you ask pick n pay or a car dealership why they are selling? 4. I've advertised in the past and had lots of enquiries about WHY i am selling. Of what relevance is it? 5. Yes, my comment was deleted by an admin without hearing my view and based on a complaint. 6. Apologies to Viljoen if he found my comment insulting and hurtful. Just my two cents.
  2. Yes. There is an exception. Read his first message. He gave you the answer

Hi All I have a few Royal 12v 105Ah "batteries" showing at 12.7volts or there about, at rest. Plug a lightbulb onto them and there is no amps after about 15 minutes. Im considering buying a battery desulfator (ctek vs optimate) Anybody with personal experiences to share? Are the batteries gone? Can they be revived? Which is a better desulfator etc Thx
  12. Awwwww Dave. Don't be like that. We all want to know the price😋😋😋😋🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

I am told by a few independent people that they have started to do this in the southern suburbs of joburg. At least 6 people that i know of have had visits from joburg water. The water meter is being installed at the point where your borehole pipe exits the ground and where the casing protrudes.

Dear All, some time ago the Joburg municipality told people to put up signs saying they have boreholes. This is when there was water restrictions and people were watering their gardens and getting spied out to the municipality by their loving neighbors. I heard yesterday that Joburg water has now been going around to people who have a "zero" water bill because they use borehole water at their homes. Joburg water is now installing water meters on the borehole because they say that the title deeds of the house does not make the water your property (same as when you find minerals under the ground at your property). Has anybody else had a similar experience? (do we take down the borehole sign or use a mix of municipal and borehole water or is this now the new tax that will eventually lead to a solar tax because the sunlight does not belong to us?) Regards
  16. I recall reading somewhere that Eskom is the only business in the entire world that used its marketing budget to tell people NOT to use its product, during loadshedding
  17. Hi Anybody in the joburg area that would like to get rid of broken / cracked / damaged solar panels? Please PM me. Regards
  18. Hi, If you find any, I will take 4 - 6 panels. I have 20 SF165-S and need to fill the string. I contacted Sinetech where i purchased my panels and they advised that they wont be bringing any more in. I asked what happens with the guarantees that they have to carry on existing panels and was told that they swop out bad / hail damaged panels for poly panels of lesser Voc (Not fair!)
  19. Am i missing something here? There is a reply in 2017 saying that the batteries are sold 🤔🙄
  20. Hi I highly recomend Mark. He worked on my solar two weeks ago and gave lots of valuable advice. Very professional and fair priced.
  21. Hi All, Any idea who supplies DC fuses, bussmann fuse holders, battery disconnects, combiner boxes etc in the Johannesburg area and whose prices are reasonable. Thanks in advance

Hi All, Im playing around with the following 2 x 330W Canadian Solar feeding ------->FM60 charge controller FM60 feeding --------- > and 4 x 105A batteries in 24v. batteries --------------------> connected to a 1000w pure sine wave inverter running 2 PC's and a printer. All works well but the voltage does drop suddenly when I switch on the laser printer (as expected). I was wondering (and saw on youtube) if it is possible to insert a Supercap after the batteries and before the inverter to deal with / smooth out this sudden voltage drop. Has anybody done something like this, any advice. What type of supercap etc (Ive seen a 16v 700uf for R750 - in picture) Thanks in advance Ive read the supercap threads on the forum and came across this lovely photo :
