Infini V 5k Settings

Featured Replies

Good day

I currently have the Voltronic Infini V 5K installed. I am hoping to get a bit of feedback from the guys thats been running with this model in regards with setting.

My ideal scenario would be to run on priority setting Solar Utility Battery (SBU) during the day as the PV is enough to power the load and charge the batteries quite quickly. But at night I would want to run off of the batteries for lets say 30% DOD (SBU) and after that change priority back to SUB. Only solar is used to charge the batteries.

To to that, in my opinion, one needs to use the ICC software. Currently that cannot be done, but I spoke to Manie and this should be possible in the near future.

Would love to hear how the other guys with these inverters use them as the are in actual fact Grid tied inverters.

@Lionheart,

Yes, that is a ICC feature, but as you correctly summed up, it is not available for Infini V Series (and possibly others as well) yet!.

I have not upgraded beyond 2.8 yet, as i required Manie's intervention, and i see 2.97 is out already. So the basic software to do the SBU/SUB switching exists, but it seems not all Voltronics based inverters are the same, so it may take a little while longer to enable the feature you are looking for to the V series. Obviously, Manie's target audience is probably Axpert series first, as it is the most popular, plus doing development work on the newer King's, MK11's & 111's etc. keeps Manie very busy.

Must say, for me and my current circumstances, this is not a priority must have feature, but things change and then it might just be handy.

BTW, iccsoftware.co.za now informs what the latest S/W changes are, so just pop in there every now and again. Or just hit the upgrade button in ICC. I like to know before i upgrade!

Myself am a SUB kinda guy.

Thank you.

So are your batteries only a backup?

I see you also have a BMV702. Is this purely to monitor, as I understand the ICC does not support SOC control on our inverters?
