Solar powered CCTV camera pole

Featured Replies

Does anyone have experience with a solar powered CCTV pole.

3 * Hikvision camera

1 x fibre connection

1 x Wifi

1 x POE switch

Any suggestions on a possible setup?

Is it a stand alone , if you're running fibre to it can you run power? is the solar for backup or the main power source? I'm assuming one pole with 3 cameras. How many days of autonomy do you need? And the range of the wifi link, is it line of sight?

It's still very much planning stages. it would be preferred to not have to use mains from a close by house - legal implications.

One pole with three cameras, no mains feed, only solar power. Line of sight wifi may be used to connect other poles - 100m max.

It should have enough battery capacity to handle at least one rainy day.

Not sure if Poly or Mono panels would be best.
